Summary
This annual report documents the Sustainable Rice Platform’s (SRP) 2020 activities marking its transition year as a newly incorporated independent legal entity while navigating the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. In January 2020, after nine years of hosting by UNEP, SRP was successfully incorporated as Sustainable Rice Platform e.V. (eingetragener Verein – registered voluntary association) under German law in Bonn, establishing SRP as an independent entity with 103 institutional members from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas across public, private, research, civil society, and financial sectors.
