Understanding deforestation risks in supply chains: palm oil and the path forward in Southeast Asia (webinar)

Authored by Evidensia

Summary

Southeast Asia is home to nearly 15% of the world’s tropical forests and some of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. The region faces significant deforestation pressure, particularly from agricultural expansion and palm oil production. Indonesia and Malaysia together account for 84% of global palm oil production. For companies sourcing forest-risk commodities from the region, understanding these dynamics is increasingly critical as regulations like the EUDR come into force.

This session was part of Evidensia’s three-part business series on deforestation risks across major forest frontiers.
