Summary
This report analyses and evaluates 15 major sustainability initiatives in the mineral and mining sector. The report is divided in four different parts. The sustainability issues were evaluated against the following assessment areas: coverage, assurance, responsiveness and engagement. The report finds that coordination and rationalization of sustainability schemes seem to be important topics. It suggests that more research is needed to further explore the interoperability across voluntary sustainability initiatives.
