Summary
The Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI) brings together producers, users and stakeholders to improve sustainability throughout the aluminium value chain. This report highlights activities across four strategic objectives (Effective Governance, Credible Program, Growing Membership and Financial Resilience), as ASI works towards the launch of an independent certification program at the end of 2017. 2016 saw the adoption of a Constitution and a Governance Handbook; an almost two-fold increase in membership numbers; and the building of financial resilience through membership fees.
