Summary
This CDP report focuses on assessing how prepared organisations are in developing credible climate transition plans, using CDP’s 21 key indicators. It analyses disclosures from over 23,200 organisations across 14 industries and 129 countries, providing a broad evidence base to evaluate current practices in climate transition planning. The report uses a standardised assessment framework to compare progress across sectors and regions. Findings show that while progress is accelerating in some areas, significant gaps remain, particularly in the consistency and credibility of disclosed plans. In response, the report introduces CDP’s Transition Plan Journey framework to guide organisations in improving the quality of their transition plans and help data users evaluate progress more effectively.
