Summary
This report shows how the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP) saw growth in its certificate holder base during 2020 of almost 50% compared to 2019 numbers, and extended its geographic reach to 31 countries, six more than 2019. The volume of SBP-certified biomass in the marketplace reached a record high at 14.95 million tonnes. SBP also launched its Standards Development Process and a new audit management platform – the Audit Portal – in 2020.
