摘要
This report provides information, analysis, and recommendations on how voluntary sustainability standards (VSSs) in East Africa can be scaled up to support agricultural policy objectives. This report uses three policy areas -which correspond to challenges faced by the agricultural sector in the East African Community (EAC). A benchmarking of VSS requirements against the EAC agricultural policy areas was conducted. The research shows that EAC Partner States have tremendous potential to increase the production and trade of staple crops in the region.
