摘要
The paper offers a critical exploration of how the EU’s biofuels directive has spurred further palm oil cultivation in Indonesia, especially through voluntary certification schemes. It provides an empirical investigation of conflicts over water use and rights in the central Kalimantan region of Indonesia and argues that existing schemes have failed to adequately protect community water rights.
