This report is focused on the impact of Voluntary Sustainable Standards (VSS) on global trade. It examines 2021 data on area, production volume, and producers for 14 major standard-setting organisations, representing eight commodities: bananas, cocoa, coffee, cotton, oil palm, soy, sugarcane, tea and forestry. The report provides key insights into the current state of these commodity markets, and the progress and challenges faced by key VSS in promoting sustainability.
