摘要
The report compares seven biofuel sustainability schemes, approved by the European Union in the context of its Renewable Energy policy, as to their content and effectiveness. Evidence shows that while some standards broadly cover social sustainability, the overall effectiveness of these schemes could be limited as some schemes do not contain any social criteria at all, some crucial social requirements can be found only in a limited number of schemes, and there remain blind spots in procedural rules.
