摘要

This paper summarizes two studies conducted in the Peruvian Amazon. The studies examined how forest management affects biodiversity. They found that FSC certified concessions have a greater richness of species and are therefore more similar to undisturbed forest areas than non-certified logging areas. Furthermore, the studies found that densities of large and medium-sized animals were the same or even higher in FSC-certified areas than protected areas.
