摘要

In this podcast, Valerie Nelson and Ravinder Kumar from the Natural Resources Institute at the University of Greenwich discuss the research report on the ‘Early impacts of the Better Cotton Initiative on smallholder cotton producers in Andhra Pradesh, India’ published in 2019. The report presents the findings of a three-year study, of the early impacts of the Better Cotton Initiative on smallholder cotton producers in Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The project was implemented by a non-governmental organisation (NGO). The study included a baseline assessment (July to September 2015), an interim monitoring (August to November 2017) and a final evaluation (Augusto to November 2018). The study methodology employed theory-based evaluation and a Randomised Control Trial approach.
