The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a non-profit membership-organisation and registered charity working globally to ensure sustainability in the aluminium value chain. ASI launched their certification program in December 2017, and this report highlight’s the initiative’s achievements since then. These include the issuing of the first Performance Standard certifications in April 2018; development of tools such as elementAI and educationAI to support user workflow and learning throughout the certification process; and continued engagement with stakeholders to improve impacts and effectiveness. ASI is governed by a Board of Directors, aided by a Standards Committee made up of industry and non-industry members, and an Indigenous Peoples Advisory Forum.
